Patient Care Technician (PCT)
This program prepares Students to work in a hospital environment under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or a Doctor. The (PCT) technician can expect to find employment opportunities in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and nursing homes. To receive a Patient Care Certificate you must successfully complete
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Phlebotomy “ blood collection
- Electrocardiogram (EKG)
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Externship
Following the classroom and laboratory training, students will partake in a provided externship in order to develop their skills and get a real-world experience. Externships for the Patient Care Technician program will take place at skilled nursing facility.
NOTE: If you are not a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA), you will have to receive and complete a CNA training course before you enrolling in the Patient Care Technician (PCT) program.
